About

I am an associate professor of literacy at St. John Fisher College. I see the role of educator as being one of political and social action. As such, I strive to infuse all my work (teaching and writing) with an awareness of my place within the world and how through collective action the world can become more equitable and humane.

This blog started out as a lark, but it has turned into a serious space for me to explore those things I’m thinking about. It is both a collection site and an organizational site. Tags have become an important way of organizing my ideas and seeing the cross connections I am making. There is so much more I have to learn about this world of blogging and digital literacies in general.
